During the divemaster course you’ll be introduced to a wide range of various skills you need to earn proficiency in. You’ll learn how to map a dive site, you’ll practise your rescue skills, you’ll lead divers in a controlled environment accompanied by your instructor and you’ll assist on a number of PADI diving courses. You will also need to learn how to demonstrate various scuba skills (such as clearing your mask, donating air etc.) to a professional demonstration level. That means doing it so slowly and exaggerated that by your example you can teach divers what to do.
Set in the heart of the Philippines, this immersive experience combines hands-on training in marine science and conservation with the opportunity to contribute to vital underwater and coastal research. Volunteers learn a tremendous amount about scientific diving, fieldwork and marine ecology, but also help protect fragile marine ecosystems while gaining the skills needed for careers in marine biology, ecology or environmental advocacy. Participants do not need to be certified scuba divers when joining, as the organisation offers free scuba diver training by extremely experienced instructors.

I had a wonderful time at MCP. I stayed a little longer then the expected 12 weeks because I loved the place so much.
After 6 amazing weeks of volunteering at MCP, two courses, new friends and lots of dives, memories and fun, I sadly had to say goodbye to a great life experience! From the very first email to the last hug one can feel the engagement of the amazing staff running the always-looking-for-improvement base.
Grow as a diver and a human surrounded by wonderful nourishing individuals. Came for my rescue, DM and to be a staff intern and now extending and starting my tec training.
Amazing place! Amazing people!I can really recommend this place, it was without a doubt the best 4 weeks of our long trip. I Wish I would had taken 8 weeks!
