I can’t believe I have been to Mauritius and back so quickly, one month flew by so fast. It was great to have the opportunity to work at the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita as well as be home with my family. The best part in Mauritius was the snorkeling at Eau Bleu and the team. Eau Bleu is a beautiful reef with so much life and colours. It was exciting to be able to snorkel there as part of my job. What made the experience even better was the WiseOceans team, the boat house team, and the Four Seasons team. Everybody was very welcoming and friendly and I have certainly made some very good friends!
In Mauritius, I had the opportunity to work on the Reef Restoration Project that was recently established there. Along with WiseOceans Skipper Bernard, we were able to do many coral transplants and go out to do some maintenance. Not only was the ocean beautiful, but the surrounding geographical features were jaw dropping. The mountains, the waterfall, Ile aux Cerfs, and the mangroves, all create such a beautiful landscape.
Being in Mauritius also allowed me to spend time with my friends and family. We visited different places such as La Roche Qui Pleure, Pont Naturel, Mare Aux Vacaos, Le Souffleur, Gris Gris, Le Jardin to Pamplemousses, and even had to time to hike Le Morne. Being able to work and spend time at home, made it an unforgettable experience.
