At work, I’ll surely miss my second office – the coral nursery!
Not to forget – I’ve worked with amazing people, who were willing to expand my knowledge
I guess it’s time to say goodbye! Another journey ahead but what an amazing adventure and so much knowledge acquired. Throw back to the first time I joined WiseOceans; I had no idea it would be a fun roller coaster ride.
It’s already a year since I’ve joined the team, at first it was for 5 months part-time then officially full time as Reef Restoration Project Assistant. I’ve achieved a lot more than I was expecting, working with amazing people who share the same passion, so many funny moments!
If I look back from the beginning and now I would compliment myself, because my time here was worth it. All the survey methodologies, writing, data collections, project management, in-water skills and not to forget – the opportunity I had especially when I received the national scholarship to join the GVI Marine Conservation Expedition. It’s all beneficial in improving my efficiency in this field of work.
There’s always something new to learn and working on the Reef Restoration Project gives me the privilege to discover things on my own, providing me with a broad perspective; enabling me to develop my own ideas.
Sadly, I have to go. I am continuing my education at the University of Seychelles to study Environmental Science but it was a pleasure to be part of an amazing team with lovely people who’ve trained me to be the best. I thank them all for contributing in my career and hopefully I can come back afterwards!
