Dive into the classroom with us!

Dive into the Classroom with WiseOceans Academy! We deliver high-quality, fun, and interactive, education sessions focused on the world’s oceans and the life within them. Our lessons cover a wide range of topics, are suitable for varying ages and can be adapted for additional learning needs. They are offered both virtually, and in person.

Who Are We?

WiseOceans Academy has been delivering marine education across the world, both virtually and in person, for over ten years. During this time, we have reached over 11,000 students and teachers in 37 countries! Our lessons are delivered by expert marine biologists and conservationists who are also experienced educators. Lessons engage, educate, and inspire. They focus on the wonder of our oceans and the positive steps we can all take to help them. Our flagship course, the Ocean Explorers Club, is aimed at children between 7 and 12 years old and delivered virtually, so no matter where you are in the world if you have an internet connection you can join!

Let’s Meet The Team!

Hannah

Hannah grew up in Wales and always wanted to be a marine biologist! Since graduating with a degree in Marine Biology, Hannah has spent the last 10 years working in marine conservation around the world, teaching people of all ages about life under the sea, both in and out of the water!

Her favourite marine creature is the manta ray, but she has a soft spot for the dolphin population near her home!

“The ocean has always fascinated me and I love sharing it’s many wonders with people!”

Hannah
Martha

During her undergraduate degree Martha embarked on a field course to Borneo and went SCUBA diving for the first time. This proved to be a turning point in her career and having fallen in love with the underwater world, she undertook a Masters in marine conservation and gained her PADI Divemaster qualification. Meanwhile, her passion for education began in Hong Kong, while teaching at an international school.

Her favourite marine creature is turtles after spending two seasons in Northern Cyprus with nesting green and loggerheads.

“Teaching younger generations to love and care for our oceans gives me so much hope for the future of conservation”

Martha
