Abbie has over 25 years’ experience as a marine educator and coral reef researcher and many more years submerged. Abbie has a MSc in Tropical Coastal Management, and has worked in numerous countries developing and running expeditions, coordinating volunteers, and leading surveys. She has worked as a Marine Biologist at luxury resorts and coordinated marine awareness projects. Believing in the value of marine education and conservation Abbie founded WiseOceans

Emily began her career in Marine Conservation after travelling to Australia aged 18. Here, she obtained her PADI Instructor qualification and subsequently went on to work in marine operations and research station management including being Resort Manager for a remote luxury dive resort. Emily is our Resort Operations manager, fully utilising her experience in managing teams and operations in remote, tropical countries

Georgina has extensive experience in coral reef research, community outreach and conservation gained in the Caribbean, Indonesia, Fiji, Madagascar, Seychelles and Mauritius. Georgina is a specialist in coral reefs, reef restoration and working alongside marine resource-dependent communities. She has a MSc in Tropical Coastal Management and both manages and develops our global conservation, education and reef restoration projects

Hannah grew up in West Wales and always wanted to be a Marine Biologist! After training as a Divemaster and obtaining a degree in Marine Vertebrate Zoology, she began her career at Sea Trust. A few years later, Hannah joined WiseOceans as a Marine Educator in Seychelles and has spent the last decade working on various marine conservation projects in the Indian Ocean. Usually, Hannah splits her time between Academy and Careers, overseeing both departments, but is currently on maternity leave

Jasmine grew up in the UK and, after earning degrees in Geography and Climatology, began her career in marine conservation. She has worked on coral restoration and shark and sea turtle research projects across the Seychelles, Madagascar and Oman, where she has spent the past ten years. Jasmine now splits her time between WiseOceans Academy and Careers

Éirinn grew up on the north coast of Ireland, where her fascination with the sea began. She went on to study Biology at university and spent a year in the Canary Islands researching Whales, Dolphins and turtles. Since then, she has worked aboard a research vessel exploring the waters of Spain, France and Ireland, studying a range of cetacean species. She later moved to Mallorca, where she taught marine biology and sustainability to high school students. Éirinn is dedicated to inspiring others to understand and protect the ocean

Issy has volunteered on marine conservation projects in Australia, Seychelles and Cambodia gaining experience in coral restoration and ecosystem monitoring. After gaining a BSc in Biology, Issy went on to obtain a Master’s in Marine Environmental Management. Issy is our Media and Communications Coordinator having developing expertise in communications over the years since graduating

Liane has always had a passion for the ocean and has worked on marine conservation projects in Thailand and the Seychelles, in coral reef restoration as well as turtle and shark monitoring. She previously worked as a WiseOceans Marine Biologist and Educator in Seychelles. Now, she is based in the UK

After completing his MSc in the UK, Krishna worked as an Education Officer in the Andaman Islands. He joined WiseOceans in 2015 as a Marine Educator in Seychelles. After 5 wonderful years of guided snorkels, underwater photography and assisting in our Reef Restauration Project, he is now based in India but returns ad-hoc for additional support

After completing his MSc in France, Rémi first worked within Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean Sea. His journey then brought him to French Polynesia and Madagascar as a naturalist guide, where he developed a strong connection with the marine world, conservation and education. Passionate about the ocean and visual storytelling, Rémi also uses underwater photography to share immersive stories from the underwater world, spark curiosity and raise awareness about the protection of marine ecosystems

Aurélien holds a Msc in Tropical Marine Biology which led him to volunteering works in the Philippines, working closely with the local communities to map the marine habitat and establish a protected area. His passion for the coral reefs guided him to the Maldives where he took part in a coral restoration project as well as working for a turtle rescue centre. Aside from being in the water every day, he loves to engage and exchange about marine life and conservation with others

Camille is an award-winning conservationist. She holds an MSc in Primate Conservation as she started her journey working with primates and terrestrial wildlife in rescue centers in the Latin American jungle. She then transitionned to marine conservation and fell in love with ecotourism. Working as a marine biologist and educator is a dream job for her as it mixes in-water field work with guest engagement. She also shares her journey and advice on her social media with the goal of making conservation careers more accessible for everyone

A graduate Marine Biologist and PADI Open Water Instructor with extensive experience in coral reef restoration and sea turtle biology, Marc is passionate about fostering connections between people and our oceans

James holds an MSc in Marine Vertebrate Ecology and Conservation and has international experience across marine and terrestrial conservation, from coral reef research in Mexico to seagrass restoration in Croatia, where he taught and led a global team of research assistants. As a UK-trained Divemaster, he is passionate about inspiring others to protect wildlife through education, field-based training, and a deep respect for the natural world

With a degree in Environmental Sciences and certification as a PADI diver, Ashley began her career in marine conservation through hands-on roles in Mauritius and the Seychelles, where she gained expertise in coral restoration, ecosystem monitoring, and marine education

Alana is a PADI Dive master, born and raised in the Seychelles. Growing up in the Seychelles, she has spent most of her life on boats, exploring the ocean with family. Alana studied Fisheries Sciences at the Seychelles Maritime Academy. Her drive for pursuing a career in marine biology comes from a curiosity to understand and discover more about the wonders that the oceans bring. Alana is passionate about teaching others and experiencing the wonders of Seychelles pristine tropical reefs.

After completing a BSc in Geography, Ollie pursued a master’s in international marine science, gaining field experience in conservation and research and cementing his passion for preserving and understanding the marine environment. Time as a Divemaster and swimming teacher showed Ollie that education and engagement are effective tools to inspire people to take action to conserve our oceans

While working in tourism in 2017, Holly had the profound experience of watching a coral reef bleach over the course of several months. This sparked a career shift from communications to marine conservation and she became a PADI Divemaster shortly after. Since then she has worked in Ecuador, Uganda, Cambodia, and Vietnam on different conservation projects while obtaining her MSc in Environmental Science. She has spent the last several years studying manta ray populations around the world and contributing to megafauna field research in Hawaii
